Mengali Accountancy
When Renee Mengali was 16, she selected the AS in Accounting Program at Heald Business College for her associate's degree and never looked back. She has owned a firm in Healdsburg for seven years.
Prior to owning Mengali [Accountancy], she was a controller for Jedd-Co Steel in Windsor. Her first position was office manager for Milwright Plastic Injection Molding.
Ms. Mengali received an AS from Heald Business College in 1995 and a bachelor's in management from Pacific Union College in 2005.
Areas of focus for the firm are outsourced bookkeeping, QuickBooks consulting and business tax preparation.
"Owning a successful cutting-edge accounting firm in a beautiful town that provides gainful employment and a positive work environment to over 10 people is my greatest professional accomplishment."
With two offices and 11 employees, Ms. Mengali doesn't have a lot of spare time, but the time she does have is spent with her husband and two dogs, though she says, "Spare time? What is that?"
"I've served on the advisory council for Intuit Corp. the last two years."
Last year she received the Spirit of Sonoma Award and in 2008 her firm was honored as a Best Practices in Paperless Office Implementations by AIIM.
She said in 15 years she would like to be retired.
"I just refinanced my mortgage to a 15-year fixed so I can stick to this plan."
